NAMI Day at the WA Legislature

Each year on the Dr Martin Luther King Jr Holiday, the WA State Legislature opens its doors for citizens to discuss issues directly with representatives in their offices. NAMI Eastside members and general members of the community have participated in this annual event for several years. We invite all of you to join us.

NOTE: Before visits begin participants meet at United Churches, 110 11th St SE in downtown Olympia (same as last year). See the attached directions, including important parking information. There is also information about accomodations.

Here is the schedule for the day:

8:30 am - Church opens, continental breakfast and conversation

9:30 am - Welcome by Jim Bloss, NAMI WA Vice-President Discussion of NAMI 2010 legislative priorities by Gordon Bopp and Seth Dawson

10:00 am - Tips for Advocacy: How to Make the Most of Your Visit with Legislators

10:30 am - Visits begin

Church will be open and coffee/tea available until about 4:00 pm.
There will be no formal afternoon wrap-up session.
