NAMI EASTSIDE |
NAMI Eastside would like to thank the attendees, the presenters, and the volunteers who made this years convention a record-breaking event with nearly 600 participants including consumers, family members, mental health professionals, police, sheriff deputies, and corrections officers, clergy, school teachers and counselors, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists and other members of the community. There were many highlights over the 2-day program that included informative workshops, memorable speakers, and even a play. The peak was the Saturday keynote address by Michael Hogan, Chairman of President Bush’s New Freedom Commission on Mental Health. There was also the Inspirations Art Show, many booths, and a Friday evening open mic night. Videotapes of most presentations are available for loan to NAMI Eastside members.
